My friends took in 14 cats living in deplorable conditions

Yesterday, Good Mews was able to take 14 cats who were living in deplorable conditions. Some were living three to four to a cage, while others roamed free in a house with no litter boxes. Some were kept in crates in a damp, cold basement.

Earlier this month, the Toccoa-Stephens County Humane Shelter in Georgia rescued 77 cats who were living in deplorable conditions. Some were living three to four to a cage, while others roamed free in a house with no litter boxes. Some were kept in crates in a damp, cold basement. The county-run shelter was overwhelmed with all of the intakes, but did a wonderful job of coping with a bad situation, working with the shy cats and providing immediate medical care. Yesterday, Good Mews was able to take 14 of the cats into our care. Most need to be spayed and neutered and many are suffering with eye and upper respiratory infections. They are all loving cats, very deserving of good homes, which Good Mews will work to find for them. If you would like to contribute to the care of these new residents, and other Good Mews cats, please visit: https://goodmews.ejoinme.org/MyPages/DonationPage/tabid/40771/Default.aspx. Thank you for helping us continue our life-saving mission!
