Alternatives for Sope Creek Bridge Traffic

Although school starts next week, bridge replacement work on Paper Mill Road continues through the end of October.

Detour routes for continuing repair work on the Sope Creek Bridge will be in effect next week as a new academic year begins for the Cobb County School district.

The bridge replacement project on Paper Mill Road at Sope Creek continues through Oct. 25, and will include a six-foot sidewalk and access to National Park Service trails.

District 2 Cobb Commissioner Bob Ott issued an e-mail message Friday afternoon reminding motorists to "expect extended delays on Lower Roswell Road associated with school traffic" as classes begin on Wednesday.
