Minde Herbert is a lucky mom of twins, enthusiastic homeschooler, and passionate advocate for eating well and organically.  Through her company Affordably Organic she teaches how to feed families healthy, organic foods on a tight budget through online mentoring, in-person workshops and cooking demonstrations. (Find her on Facebook.)  As a freelance writer she’s contributed to many regional publications including <i>Georgia Magazine, Living in Atlanta, Atlanta Now and the Atlanta Business Chronicle</i>. 
She is the founding board member of the Intown Atlanta Parents of Multiples Club, a non-profit organization that provides support and education to parents and caregivers of multiples.  Prior to becoming a writer and organic food evangelist, Herbert had more than 15 years of diverse experience in the public relations field including serving as the Director of Public Relations for the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra (ASO). She’s placed stories in top-level publications such as Time, Fortune, The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, Business Week, Newsweek, U.S. News &amp; World Report, USA Today, Forbes and many national and regional outlets. While at the ASO, Herbert was charged with building awareness for more than 250 concerts and events annually. She toured domestically and internationally with the ASO and the world-renowned ASO Chorus. 
Before joining the symphony, Herbert was a Senior Media Strategist for Socket Public Relations and the Media Specialist for Alexander Ogilvy PR Worldwide. She resides in Douglasville with her husband Steve and their 5-year old twins.
