Walton-Wheeler Hoop It Up Tonight

The high school basketball regular season comes to an end tonight for East Cobb rivals who are having quite different seasons. The Wheeler boys can clinch the Region 5-AAAAAA regular season crown when it plays host to Walton. The game starts at 7:30 at the Doug Lipscomb Gym. The Wildcats, who were surprised by Cherokee on Tuesday, are 15-7 and 10-3 in region play, a game ahead of the Warriors, who play Milton on Friday. On the other hand, Walton is 11-11 and 4-8. Wheeler downed the Raiders 76-73 in overtime earlier this season.
