Pedestrian Killed on North Marietta Parkway

A woman was struck by multiple vehicles shortly before 7 p.m. Saturday.

Update:  The injured woman died early Sunday. She was identified as Rochelle Brown, 53, and according to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, she was visiting friends in Marietta when she decided to cross North Marietta Parkway to a store on foot. The report said Brown was hit by at least three vehicles on a portion of the road where there is no crosswalk. Original report: A pedestrian crossing North Marietta Parkway near Allgood Road Saturday night is in critical condition, according to Marietta Police. East Cobb Teen Dies in Pedestrian Accident

Darion Elizabeth Hugh-Sam, 18, was injured in May while crossing Shallowford Road near Johnson Ferry Road.

An East Cobb teenager injured seven months ago in a pedestrian accident on Shallowford Road has died. Cobb Police said Thursday that Darion Elizabeth Hugh-Sam, 18, died on Dec. 21 of injuries sustained when she and a teenage companion were attempting to cross Shallowford Road at Johnson Ferry Road on May 28. Police investigators said Hugh-Sam and Leake were walking against a red pedestrian crosswalk signal around 5:30 p.m. when they were hit by a Honda Accord driven by Evelyn Tauchert, 82, of Marietta. Hugh-Sam was rushed to WellStar Kennestone Hospital in critical condition. Austin Leake, 17, of Decatur, was treated for non-life-threatening injuries. Tauchert was uninjured. Teen Critical After East Cobb Accident

A 16-year-old girl and a friend were hit by a car Monday night crossing the Johnson Ferry-Shallowford intersection on foot.

A teenager is in critical condition after being hit by a car Monday night as she and a friend crossed a busy East Cobb intersection, according to a report by WSB-TV. The station reported that the injured teen, an 18-year-old girl, was taken to WellStar Kennestone Hospital with severe head injuries after the accident, which occurred as she and a 19-year-old male were crossing the intersection of Johnson Ferry Road and Shallowford Road.  The male was not injured and the WSB report indicated that the driver of the Honda Accord that struck the pedestrians was not at fault because she had the right-of-way.  The Marietta Daily Journal reported the pedestrians were identified as Austin Leake of Decatur and 18-year-old Darion Elizabeth Hugh-Sam of…

Pedestrian Injured on Roswell Road

Alcohol is believed to have been a factor in the incident near North Marietta Parkway.

A 21-year-old Marietta man was hit by a car while crossing Roswell Road at North Marietta Parkway Tuesday night, 11 Alive and The Atlanta Journal-Constitution report. Kevin Donelson was hit by a southbound Hyundai Sonata driven by Kwon Young, 53, 11 Alive and The AJC report. Donelson was in a crosswalk but did not have the right-of-way. He was taken to Kennestone Hospital and was in critical condition Wednesday morning. Alcohol is believed to have been a factor in the accident, 11 Alive and The AJC report. This year has seen several accidents involving vehicles hitting pedestrians:
