East Cobb Food Truck Returns Tonight

The "School's Out" event at Paper Mill Village includes charity donations in partnership with Sope Creek Elementary School.

The sun's out, school's almost out and Paper Mill Village is having another food truck event from 5-8 p.m. tonight. The flyer just about says it all; thanks to Leigh Taylor of the Wilbert Group for letting us know.

Food Trucks Return to East Cobb

The postponed event is scheduled for Monday afternoon at Paper Mill Village.

East Cobb’s Paper Mill Village is hosting Food Truck Monday once again on Monday, April 29. Happy Belly, WOW, Snap Franks, Yumbii, Fry Guy, Mighty Meatballs, Honeysuckle, King of Pops and Paper Mill Village’s Sugar Benders will have tasty food and treats available for purchase from 5-8 p.m. The Neighbors will perform live entertainment and Temple Kol Emeth will be accepting donations for Habitat for Humanity of Northwest Metro Atlanta.  Paper Mill Village is located at 137 Johnson Ferry Road, at the intersection of Paper Mill Road.

Paper Mill Village Businesses Expand

Retail space is growing for the Simply Fresh Market and Pilates Tutor Studio.

Press release: Two of Paper Mill Village’s tenants are expanding. Simply Fresh Market, a gourmet food store that provides healthy dinners to go, has added retail space. Pilates Tutor Studio, a fitness center that offers Pilates, yoga, TRX and personal training, soon will expand. “We are pleased that both these tenants have enjoyed so much success at Paper Mill Village that they have decided to expand to meet demand,” said Lisa Graham, leasing agent and property manager at Healey Weatherholtz Properties. “Both Simply Fresh and Pilates Tutor Studio add real value to our property and to the entire East Cobb community, where people increasingly are looking for healthier options.” Simply Fresh Market expanded into its next-door space April 15. …

Valenti's to Replace Caffe Fortunato

A family-style Italian restaurant will open on Monday at Paper Mill Village.

East Cobb has lost one Italian restaurant and gained another, all in the same space. The spot formerly occupied by Caffe Fortunato at Paper Mill Village will reopen as Valenti's Family Dining on Monday, according to a message posted on the retail center's Facebook page. As the name indicates, Valenti's will specialize in family-style meals served on large platters, according to a Paper Mill Village publicist, who said that the new restaurant is locally-owned. She did not know when Caffe Fortunato closed, but said "it's been very recent." The restaurant space is located near Paper Mill Grill in the heart of a commercial center at Johnson Ferry Road and Paper Mill Road. We're very sad that Caffe Fortunato has closed. My husband and I have always enjoyed our meals and never had a bad dish, all the waiters were always very personalble, I've learned when your nice to people their nice to you... We want to wish Michael (owner) all the best!   more ›

Paper Mill Village Food Trucks Return

Monday's fare includes summertime favorites, plus music and and a local artisanal market.

The Paper Mill Village Food Truck is returning to East Cobb on Monday, offering much more than food. They're calling it a Food Truck Fair. From 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., visitors can sample the flavors of Honeysuckle Gelato, Yum, Brian’s Texas Hots, WOW! food truck, Pressed for Time Paninis, King of Pops, Hail Caesar and one of Atlanta’s newest food trucks, Happy Belly will be in attendance. Moxie Burger Opens in East Cobb

Paper Mill Village's newest restaurant also features salads, Hebrew National franks, children's portions and desserts.

The Cadillac. The Chucktown. The Hunker Down.  Those are among the menu items at the newly opened Moxie Burger at Paper Mill Village.  Chas D'Huyvetter, an East Cobb native and Pope High School graduate, is the owner and operator of Moxie Burger, which he envisions as a "neighborhood gathering place." Moxie Burger serves more than burgers. Sandwiches, salads and desserts are on the menu.  So are children's portions and a selection of Hebrew National franks that include The Hunker Down, topped with pimento cheese, bacon and jalapenos and served with cheese straws.  There's also an "entrepreneur" option for building your own burger or sandwich "from the ground up."  The menu includes a full range of soft drinks, beer and white and red wine…
