United States Attorney Sally Yates held a news conference Tuesday afternoon to inform citizens about 10 metro Atlanta officers who were arrested this morning for their alleged involvement in protecting presumed cocaine traffickers. According to Yates, the 10 arrested officers consisted of "two DeKalb County officers, two Forest Park officers, one Atlanta police officer, one Stone Mountain officer, one MARTA officer, and one contracted Federal Protection worker." Reports are coming in of a violent attack Wednesday night in Tucker which has left a convenience store owner badly injured and in hospital. "Mr. Patel was severely beaten with a sledgehammer," long-time customer Denise Pounds told Patch. "I went in to the store this morning and the day manager informed us of the tragedy. She is very upset. She said three black men came into the store and proceeded to ask for money and then began beating him for no reason as they knew where the cash register is." A Fulton County Grand Jury has indicted a Sandy Springs doctor on charges that he molested a juvenile female during a sleepover at his residence. Doctor Kelly Thrasher was indicted Tuesday on Child Molestation. The Fulton County Grand Jury added the charges of Sexual Battery and Aggravated Sexual Battery to the indictment. Thrasher was arrested on Jan. 24 after his release from the Ridgeview Medical Center where he entered himself after detectives initiated a criminal investigation into the molestation complaint. Krystal is moving its corporate offices to Dunwoody. The company is currently headquartered in Chattanooga, TN. According to the Times Free Press, Krystal's move to Dunwoody will be completed in the early part of 2013. The company is moving to the area because Atlanta's larger airport will allow its executives better access to its offices.
