More than 70 vendors will showcase their best dishes, including Italian, seafood, steak, BBQ and desserts, which range in cost from 50 cents to $5, at the 20th annual Taste of Marietta on Sunday from 11 a.m.-7 p.m. on the Marietta Square. At last year's event, more than 100,000 people hit the streets to sample their favorite foods. Live bands will perform free concerts all day at five stages on the Square. Starting in April concerts will be held once a month through September in Glover Park. Take a look at the lineup for the 2013 Glover Park Concert Series.
The Kurt Thomas Band will kick off the 2013 Glover Park Concert Series with a party rock and country music. The first Glover Park Concert of the season will take place on Friday, April 26 at 8 p.m. in and around Glover Park. The concerts are free and open to the public. Blankets and lawn chairs may be set up after 4 p.m. Personal tables are not permitted in the park but may be set up on North Park Square after 5:30 p.m.

This week's Cobb, Douglas and Paulding Weekend & Community Spotlight features the 4th Annual Marietta Mardi Gras 5K Run on the Marietta Square. The event benefits the Junior League of Cobb-Marietta and it's community partners. The 5K run will begin Saturday at 8 a.m., with the 1K beginning at 8:45 a.m. and the Tot-Trot at 9 a.m. For the third year, the Junior League is teaming up with Shoes for the Cure for a shoe drive. All shoe donations are welcome - not just running shoes. There will be bins for drop-off available. Cost is $30 for adults and $15 for Tot-Trot.
