Students and staff at East Cobb's Garrison Mill Elementary School are continuing a fundraising drive this month to assist efforts by the Friends of Mabry Park. The "Money for Mabry Park" fundraiser began on March 15 and is winding down on Wednesday. The Friends organization sent out a newsletter this week saying the response has been "overwhelming" and it has "had to make deposits as the jars were overflowing!" The Friends thanked Garrison Mill 5th grade teacher Kendra Brindley for her efforts. The winning top three fundraising homerooms will win a Mabry Park Personalized Brick for a permanent recognition. And the first place homeroom gets an outdoor picnic. For more information, visit the Friends of Mabry Park website.
