Cobb Police are searching for a suspect who held up a CVS pharmacy on Powers Ferry Road Wednesday afternoon. A man entered the store at 2014 Powers Ferry Road around 4:30 p.m. Wednesday demanding specific prescription drugs and cash from a register, according to a release issued by Cobb Police spokesman Sgt. Dana Pierce. The suspect, who displayed a handgun in his waistband during the robbery, left with an undisclosed amount of cash and may have been driving a gold or tan full-size SUV, police said. Pierce said the suspect is described as a black male, six feet tall, and heavyset or muscular, between 40-50 years old. Cobb Police have released photos of the suspect in the armed robbery of an East Cobb Walgreens store last week. A man took undisclosed items at gunpoint after demanding them from an employee at the Walgreens location at 2464 Roswell Road last Thursday. The suspect was described as a white male, around 5-foot-9, in his teens to early 20s. He was wearing a black hooded jacket and blue jeans. The surveillance camera photos released Thursday show a man with that general description, and the suspect remains at-large. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Cobb Police at 770-499-3945.

Cobb Police are searching for a suspect who robbed an East Cobb Walgreens store on Thursday. Cobb Police spokesman Officer Michael Bowman said that a white male approached the registers at the Walgreens location at 2464 Roswell Road around around 4:20 p.m. Thursday, asking for merchandise behind the counters. When a Walgreens employee placed the items on the counter, the suspect opened a jacket to display a handgun, demanded the merchandise, and fled the store, Bowman said. Police don't know whether the suspect left on foot or in a vehicle. Bowman said the suspect is a white male, approximately 5-foot-9, and is in his late teens to early 20s.
