Dick Yarbough, a columnist for The Marietta Daily Journal, is the guest speaker at Tuesday's monthly luncheon of the East Cobb Business Association. The luncheon is scheduled from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Hollycrest Hall, 2235 Sewell Mill Road. Yarbrough is described as "a Southern philosopher, political pundit and straight-shooting humorist all rolled into one. Tuesday's subject outlines keys to getting credit.
Join the East Cobb Business Association on Tuesday for a unique opportunity to hear from lenders what they want to fund. Representatives of LGE Credit Union, Fidelity Bank, State Bank and Trust Company, and SunTrust Bank will discuss today's business credit environment and the keys to getting credit from financial institutions. The ECBA's Lunch 'N Learn event takes place from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the East Cobb offices of Keller Williams Realty, 3730 Roswell Road. The lenders will answer questions, share their insights, demystify lending and translate "bank speak" to everyday language. Lunch will be provided. The event is free to guests and members, but registration is required.

The East Cobb Business Association is holding its monthly After Hours networking session Tuesday at the Cheeky restaurant at The Avenue East Cobb. The event takes place from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and is free of charge. Participants pay only for food and drink. No reservations are required. Each Friday the ECBA also has a breakfast networking meeting at 7:30 a.m. at Capozzi's at 4283 Roswell Road. It starts at 7:30 p.m. and you pay only for what you eat.

The East Cobb Business Association will be represented at the July 18 county-wide networking event of the year.
The annual business event of year in Cobb County, the Summer Joint Association Meeting (JAM), returns July 18 after a successful first year. The Cobb Chamber of Commerce and the county's 12 business associations, including East Cobb and Northeast Cobb, have united to sponsor the second annual Summer JAM. Touted as the networking event of the summer, the JAM drew nearly 800 people last year. The head coaches from East Cobb-area high schools will be talking football Wednesday morning at the Cobb Chamber of Commerce's East Cobb Area Council breakfast. Matt Kemper of Pope, Rocky Hidalgo of Walton and Mike Collins of Wheeler are among the featured speakers at the breakfast, which takes place from 7:45 a.m. to 9 a.m. at the clubhouse of the Indian Hills Country Club, 4001 Clubland Drive.
