District 2 Cobb Commissioner Bob Ott will hold his next East Cobb town hall meeting next Wednesday, May 8, at Walton High School. The meeting will take place in the auditorium from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. At his town halls, Ott typically updates constituents on developments in Cobb County government and the community and takes questions from the audience. Walton is located at 1590 Bill Murdock Road.

Georgia State Sen. Judson Hill (R-East Cobb) will hold his first town hall meeting of the current legislative session next week. The meeting takes place next Tuesday starting at 7 p.m. at the Mountain View Regional Library, 3320 Sandy Plains Road. Hill, the chairman of the Senate Finance Committee, also serves on the Appropriations, Insurance and Labor, Rules and Regulated Industries and Utilities committees. District 3 Cobb Commissioner JoAnn Birrell will have a town hall meeting Wednesday from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Mountain View Community Center, located on 3400 Sandy Plains Road. She will spotlight the Canton Road Redevelopment Foundation. Birrell has been working in recent months to revive economic development in the Canton Road Corridor, beginning with a request before the Development Authority of Cobb for seed money to fund a non-profit entity that would provide loans. She also created the redevelopment committee, made up of civic and business interests in the Canton Road and Northeast Cobb community.
