Breast Cancer Survivors Join Cyclists, Sponsors in Tour de Pink
Each participant raised funds for the Young Survival Coalition through Saturday morning's bike ride and 5K.
More than 700 cyclists and more than 100 runners and walkers helped raise $300,000 for the Young Survival Coalition by taking part in the Tour de Pink in Alpharetta on Saturday. The lower parking lot at Verizon Wireless Amphiteatre was the start and finish for Tour de Pink. Before the long-distance and short rides began, breast cancer survivors were introducted, many of whom rode in the race, ran or walked the 5K. Jenninfer Valdez from CBS's Better Mornings Atlanta helped with the opening ceremonies at the 7:30 a.m. start.
