Rain Moving In, Cold Air May Be on the Way
The Cobb area is set for a wet week of cooler temperatures as a cold front moves into Georgia. Freezing temperatures could arrive next week.
Following a warm weekend in the 70s, most of Georgia is set for rain, cooler temps and maybe even a blast of cold air from the north late in the week. A rainy Monday and Tuesday accompany cooler weather and a cold front, as it moves from out west to the east by midweek, according to The Weather Channel. It's not yet clear how far south the cold air would reach as the jet stream dips. Forecasters give the Cobb area a 100 percent chance of rain on Monday, when the high is expected to reach 56, and 80 percent chance on Tuesday with a high of 52, according to the National Weather Service.
