East Cobb Rite Aid Robbed
A male suspect wearing a motorcycle helmet took prescription drugs from a Sandy Plains Road store Tuesday night.
A man wearing a full-face motorcycle helmet stole an undisclosed amount of prescription drugs from an East Cobb pharmacy on Wednesday night. According to a release issued by Cobb Police spokesman Sgt. Dana Pierce, the suspect walked into the Rite Aid store at 1900 Sandy Plains Road around 8:45 p.m. Tuesday, jumped the cashier's counter and pulled a gun on an employee. Pierce said the suspect shouted "oxys" and "Xanax," then took the items from the shelves and left the store, heading down nearby Scufflegrit Road in the direction of Allgood Road. "Oxys" is a slang term for oxycodone, a generic analgesic used to treat moderate to severe pain. Xanax is the trade name for Alprazolam and is used to treat depression and anxiety disorders. Both …

Actually Xanax is not for depression - it's for anxiety and panic disorders. Both drugs are indeed addictive.   more ›
