Update: The injured woman died early Sunday. She was identified as Rochelle Brown, 53, and according to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, she was visiting friends in Marietta when she decided to cross North Marietta Parkway to a store on foot. The report said Brown was hit by at least three vehicles on a portion of the road where there is no crosswalk. Jerome George “Jerry” Cundy of Woodstock led Cherokee and Cobb authorities on a chase after he allegedly robbed a Woodstock convenience store Sunday morning.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation has identified the man killed Sunday in an officer-involved shooting on I-75 as 53-year-old Jerome George “Jerry” Cundy of Woodstock. Cundy allegedly robbed a Woodstock convenience store Sunday morning, then led Cobb and Cherokee law enforcement on a chase from a Marathon station on Bells Ferry Road in Woodstock and down I-75, to just south of the North Marietta Parkway. Police stopped the vehicle there, and Cundy aimed his gun at officers, who shot and killed him, the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office said Sunday. GBI spokesman John Bankhead offered no other details in the case, which remains under investigation. Southbound I-75 traffic was halted at the North Marietta Parkway around 11 a.m. Sunday. …

A suspect who allegedly robbed a Woodstock convenience store Sunday morning was shot and killed by police on Interstate 75 near the North Marietta Parkway, leaving southbound traffic jammed for most of Sunday afternoon. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution is reporting that the unidentified suspect led Cobb and Cherokee law enforcement on a chase from a Marathon station on Bells Ferry Road in Woodstock and down I-75, to just south of the North Marietta Parkway.
