Update, 3:25 p.m. Marietta Police have identified the female victim as Kay Cornell Janus, 72, and the shooter as Henry Harlan Wooten, 70, of Acworth. According to Marietta Police spokesman David Baldwin, Wooten went to Janus' home at 1510 Gateview Way this morning. Police said Janus and Wooten had been involved a long-term relationship, but the motive for the shootings is still under investigation. Police said Wooten apparently shot Janus in the garage of her home. He was found by police dead of a self-inflicted gunshot wound in a cul-de-sac in the 1400 block of Gateview Way. Update: The injured woman died early Sunday. She was identified as Rochelle Brown, 53, and according to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, she was visiting friends in Marietta when she decided to cross North Marietta Parkway to a store on foot. The report said Brown was hit by at least three vehicles on a portion of the road where there is no crosswalk. A pedestrian crossing Cobb Parkway near Allgood Road died Monday night after being hit by a car, according to Marietta Police. The male victim's name is being withheld pending notification of kin, according to police. The accident occurred around 8:55 p.m. Monday when a maroon 2001 Mercedes 320 was heading southbound on Cobb Parkway, just north of Allgood Road. The vehicle struck the pedestrian, who police said was crossing Cobb Parkway outside of the crosswalk. The pedestrian was taken to WellStar Kennestone Hospital, where he died, according to police. This seminar is designed for civilians and will cover a variety of topics including: safety, laws and alternative weapon usage. A Florida truck driver has been charged with second-degree vehicular homicide after an early-morning accident on Cobb Parkway killed a Marietta motorist and halted traffic on the busy thoroughfare for several hours. Marietta Police said James David Rast, Jr., 47, of Jay, Fla., who also was charged with failure to yield, is being held in the Cobb County Adult Detention Center on a $250,000 bond. The driver of a sedan that veered onto a sidewalk on Franklin Road Monday afternoon and a pedestrian the vehicle struck are both in critical condition at WellStar Kennestone Hospital, Marietta Police said. Moses Katta, 50, of Marietta, was headed southbound on Franklin Road near Twin Brooks Drive around 3:30 p.m. Monday when his 1994 Nissan Sentra left the road and onto a sidewalk, hitting Jasmine Harper, 18, also of Marietta, according to police. Police indicated the cause of the accident is unknown, but may have been medically related. A Tennessee woman suffered serious head injuries early Saturday morning when the car she was driving crashed into a parked tractor-trailer on an entrance ramp to Interstate 75 in Marietta. The Marietta Police Department said Brandis B. Grier, 30, of South Pittsburg, Tenn., hit the tractor-trailer as she was approaching I-75 on a northbound entrance ramp from North Marietta Parkway around 2 a.m. Saturday. Police said the driver of the truck, which was parked in the left emergency lane, was uninjured, but Grier was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital in critical condition. A chemical spill from an overturned truck has shut down a portion of Cobb Parkway Monday afternoon. Marietta Police issued an alert at 3:20 p.m. Monday saying that Cobb Parkway is closed in both directions between Allgood Road and Bells Ferry Road "till further notice" because of a chemical spill from an overturned truck. According to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, a truck carrying 50,000 pounds of sodium hydroxide overturned at Cobb Parkway and Industrial Park Drive, near the Canton Road interchange. The report indicated that a nearby motel and business were evacuated as a precaution. Police expect Cobb Parkway to be closed "well into the evening time" and that motorists should seek alternative routes.

A Powder Springs man is facing charges of sexual battery against children at the Six Flags White Water Park on Cobb Parkway. Jerry Dean Westbrook, 68, was arrested by Marietta Police on Tuesday and charged with three felony counts in connection with an investigation into allegations of inappropriate conduct involving juvenile females. The probe began in September when witnesses said they observed a white man, between the ages of 50 and 70, having inappropriate contact with young female children in the wave pool. Police said Tuesday that Westbrook had a season pass to White Water and was known to frequent the park alone.
