Price to Speak at Roswell Breakfast

The Republican will be in North Fulton on Jan. 29 to talk business and government at the North Fulton Chamber of Commerce's Eggs & Enterprise Breakfast.

Rep. Tom Price will speak at the next Eggs & Enterprise Breakfast on Tuesday, Jan. 29, a little more than a week after the inauguration of President Barack Obama. The Sixth District Republican from Roswell, whose district includes East Cobb, makes his appearance as Congress begins its next debate with the President – and each other – over the debt ceiling. State Sen. Brandon Beach, R-Alpharetta, who also is president and CEO of the North Fulton Chamber, announced in a news release that Price will be the keynote speaker at the breakfast being held at the Country Club of Roswell. 43rd District Voters Trickle In

Northeast Cobb Patch and East Cobb Patch will have coverage of the election results and candidate reaction.

Voters didn't let rain deter them from casting a ballot today in the special election to fill the state House District 43 vacancy created by the July death of Rep. Bobby Franklin.  Fourteen precincts in Northeast Cobb and East Cobb opened at 7 a.m. and will close at 7 p.m. as voters choose among five candidates, all Republicans, as was Franklin. Nancy Gresham, a polling officer at the Lassiter High school precinct, said 13 voters cast ballots before 11 a.m. At the Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church precinct, 61 voters cast ballots before 11 a.m., poll officer Steve Goff said. According to Beth Kish, registration manager at the Cobb County Board of Elections and Registration, 92 people voted early in person, and 146 cast ballots by mail…
