Warrant Issued for East Cobb Jewelry Store Robbery Suspect
A Decatur man wanted for robbing Edward Johns Jewelers in October is in the Fulton County Jail.
Cobb Police have issued an arrest warrant for a Decatur man wanted for robbing an East Cobb jewelry store in October. Officer Michael Bowman of the Cobb Police Department said in a release issued late Friday afternoon that Cortez Deshun Lewis, 21, is in the Fulton County Jail awaiting extradition to Cobb. The warrant against Lewis includes charges of armed robbery and the possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony. Bowman said Lewis has been jailed in Fulton since Dec. 10. Cobb Police said a man entered the Edward Johns Jewelers at 1205 Johnson Ferry Road, in the Woodlawn Square Shopping Center, around 3:20 p.m. on Oct. 25 and asked to see a specific piece of jewelry.
