East Cobb has plenty of places to celebrate this special day. Which one do you like best?

This week's Readers' Choice poll is about Mother's Day—specifically, where you want to take Mom for brunch May 13.  We've chosen the most likely places that East Cobb moms will be treated and that really lay out the brunch for this special day. Please vote in our poll. You have until 9 a.m. Friday to cast your ballot.  Once you do, share this link with friends so they can vote too! We can't add any establishments to this poll, but if your favorite is missing, tell us in the comments below so we'll know for next time. The winner will be based equally on the poll results and on positive reviews and ratings on the directory listings for the businesses. Readers' Choice: Sporting Goods Stores

Tell us where you go in Marietta, East Cobb and Northeast Cobb to get ready for whatever games you play.

If you watched 300-yard drives flying around Augusta National during The Masters this weekend, you know that the right equipment is crucial to getting the most out of your talent in golf and many other sports. This week's Readers' Choice survey builds on that lesson and asks a simple question: Where is your favorite store to buy sporting goods? To make the game a little more fun, we're going to pick one winner for Marietta Patch, East Cobb Patch and Northeast Cobb Patch combined, so you're voting not only for your favorite store, but also for Patch pride. The choices: We can't add any stores to this poll, but if your favorite is missing, tell us in the comments below so we'll know for next time. You have until 9 a.m. Friday to vote. The …

Readers' Choice: No New Taxes

We hope East Cobbers are more interested next week when we move on to sporting goods.

We knew the folks in East Cobb had an anti-tax bent, but this week's Readers' Choice survey took that sentiment to an extreme. When we asked for your favorite tax preparer, hoping to give some advice to your neighbors who were waiting until the last minute to file, we got a resounding answer: none of the above. Not one vote was cast. Not one comment. Not one review for one of the 20 tax prep offices we listed. So we won't have a winner this week, unless perhaps it's the Georgia Tea Party. Let's just pretend this week never happened, and we'll start fresh Monday at 5 a.m. with an exciting new Readers' Choice topic: your favorite place to buy sporting goods. Feel free to post suggestions in the comments below as we prepare the list, then …

You can get sweet tea practically anywhere, but most avid fans know the best places.  With spring here and summertime arriving soon, one of the South's most venerable liquid delights is already in season. Personally I love McDonald's sweet tea for a $1.00 with two lemons. It is big, just the right sweetness, the lemons are fresh, the price is fab and the best part..... It is drive through!! I like it with lite ice. I like that it is real lemons and not that liqued lemon concentrate stuff. All three McDonald's in the East Cobb area make it great!   more ›
