The Powers Ferry Road market is the new venue for weekly Marietta Food Truck Rally tastings.
Every Monday night starting May 6, the Marietta Food Truck Rally will offer Cobb foodies a taste of the thriving urban street food scene and bring casual, affordable, delicious food options to Marietta’s community. Last year the Marietta Food truck Rally was held at the parking lot of Walton Communities’ 12-acre Meeting Park near Marietta Square. The move to Harry’s Farmers Market offers food truck enthusiasts a more central location with expanded parking and seating options, according to Whole Foods Market.

More than 70 vendors will showcase their best dishes, including Italian, seafood, steak, BBQ and desserts, which range in cost from 50 cents to $5, at the 20th annual Taste of Marietta on Sunday from 11 a.m.-7 p.m. on the Marietta Square. At last year's event, more than 100,000 people hit the streets to sample their favorite foods. Live bands will perform free concerts all day at five stages on the Square. Main Stage South Park Stage MBA West Park Stage East Park Stage Church Street Stage Evening concert tables The Marietta Square Farmers Market will be closed Sunday, April 28 to make room for the festival. The market return to North Park Square Saturday, May 4.

Careful where you eat. My daughter and her entire family were sick all night and the next day after eating at one of the food trucks at Papermill Village a couple of weeks ago. So sick they had to miss school the next day. Call the Cobb Health Department and see if the trucks have obtained a Food Service Permit and if they have been inspected by Cobb County before you go.   more ›
