Price Moves Office From East Cobb

The 6th District Congressman had a ribbon-cutting ceremony in Roswell this week.

Congressman Tom Price (R-6th District) moved his local office from East Cobb into North Fulton this past week. The new office is located at 85-C Mill Street, Suite 300, in Roswell. His East Cobb office was at 3730 Roswell Road, near the intersection of Robinson Road East. "It is an honor to represent the citizens of the 6th District of Georgia and an important part of our commitment is having a district office that is accessible and welcoming," Price told Patch. "The new district office located in Roswell, the geographic center of the 6th District, will combine and consolidate the efforts of our previous two offices to serve the entire district. As always, we encourage folks to call or stop-in and let us know how we may best serve them and…

Fiscal Cliff: Do Tax Hikes Worry You?

We’d like to hear from you on how the possible tax hikes would impact your family.

With New Year’s almost here, all eyes are turning to Washington, D.C., where lawmakers are working to prevent America from falling off the so-called fiscal cliff. That cliff, according to the Huffington Post, is the automatic activation of budget cuts and tax hikes that will kick in on Jan. 1, 2013, if something isn’t done to prevent them. As it stands right now, no agreement has been reached between the Democrats and Republicans to prevent the financial changes from occurring. Some economists say the budget cuts and tax hikes will catapult America back into another recession. President Barack Obama has cut his holiday vacation short, according to the Post, and is returning to Washington to try and work out a deal. Republicans and …

The Talk About Price For Speaker

A spokesman for the East Cobb-area Congressman says he won't be challenging John Boehner as the "fiscal cliff" looms.

U.S. Rep. Tom Price's name has been wagging tongues all day in Washington and at home in metro Atlanta. On Monday, the Roswell Republican, who represents East Cobb in Georgia's Sixth District, was the subject of an article in the conservative magazine National Review. In "Boehner's Biggest Threat," writer Robert Costa indicated that Price may challenge Speaker John Boehner if a federal budget deal falls through. But Price said through a spokesman later Monday that he won't be challenging Boehner as the so-called "fiscal cliff" over the federal budget looms. A aide to House leadership is quoted in the National Review article as saying that “Price is the person we’re all watching. We know he’s frustrated, but we don’t know much else.” The …

Price: SOPA Not 'Going Anywhere'

East Cobb-area Congressman says that controversial anti-piracy legislation is also causing "confusion" for small businesses and entrepreneurs.

As Wikipedia and other websites observed a 24-hour blackout on Wednesday, Congressional phone lines and inboxes began lighting up and filling up.  Members of the U.S. House and Senate got the message about controversial anti-piracy legislation that appears to be stalled for now.  In a battle that's been framed as Hollywood v. Silicon Valley, support was fading on Wednesday for passage of the Stop Online Piracy Act and the Protect IP Act.  That's because of intense pressure from Wikipedia, Google and other online companies and interest groups, which believe the bills will censor free speech on the Internet and harshly punish those who violate copyright infringement and other intellectual property and content laws.  Rep. Tom Price (R-Roswell…

I like this piece. When it comes to controversial issues, politicians like to play both sides. For example, on the matter of torture they denounce the use of torture (which is against the law) but are for enhanced interrogation techniques (what a great grinchy lie). This article exposes Price's attempt at straddling the fence. Bravo to the Patch!   more ›
