An iPhone found on a Riverdale man with a history of arrests in Clayton and Fulton is the same phone that was stolen during an Aug. 15, 2012, armed robbery in East Cobb. According to a Cobb County criminal warrant, two masked armed robbers confronted a man about 2:05 a.m. Aug. 15 when he returned to his home in the 500 block of Stepney Court. At least one had a silver revolver. After the suspects fled the scene by car with the resident's handbag, wallet, credit cards and $600, a set of keys and an iPhone, he called 911. Cobb Police are investigating the armed robbery of an East Cobb gas station Thursday night. Police spokesman Michael Bowman said a man walked into the convenience store area of the BP Connect at 559 Johnson Ferry Road shortly before 10 p.m. Thursday, producing a gun and receiving an undisclosed amount of cash from a clerk before fleeing in an unknown direction. Bowman said nobody was injured in the incident, and described the suspect as a black male wearing a black hoodie, black pants and armed with a small caliber revolver. John Kristofak, who is being held without bond for his ex-wife's murder in East Cobb before Christmas, is facing additional felony charges. Fayetteville Police say Kristofak stole prescription drugs from a pharmacy while a manhunt was underway for his arrest, according to multiple news reports Thursday afternoon. Kristofak, 59, is in the Cobb County Adult Detention Center for the murder of Donna Kristofak, who was stabbed Dec. 22 in the garage of her home near Walton High School and later died at WellStar Kennestone Hospital. A Delk Road motel was robbed earlier this week and Marietta Police are seeking the public's help in identifying the suspect. Marietta Police spokesman David Baldwin said in a release issued Sunday morning that a man held up the Motel 6 Northwest Marietta, 2360 Delk Road, around 10 a.m. Thursday. The suspect is described as a black male, six feet tall and between 170-180 pounds. He has low cut hair and was wearing rimmed prescription glasses, according to Baldwin. Police said a man approached the motel's front desk, telling the clerk he had a gun in his jacket pocket and demanded money from the register. Cobb Police are searching for a suspect who held up a CVS pharmacy on Powers Ferry Road Wednesday afternoon. A man entered the store at 2014 Powers Ferry Road around 4:30 p.m. Wednesday demanding specific prescription drugs and cash from a register, according to a release issued by Cobb Police spokesman Sgt. A man took undisclosed items at gunpoint after demanding them from an employee at the Walgreens location at 2464 Roswell Road last Thursday. The suspect was described as a white male, around 5-foot-9, in his teens to early 20s. He was wearing a black hooded jacket and blue jeans. A Burger King restaurant on Sandy Plains Road was robbed Thursday night and Cobb Police are looking for the suspect. A man wearing a full-face motorcycle helmet stole an undisclosed amount of prescription drugs from an East Cobb pharmacy on Wednesday night. According to a release issued by Cobb Police spokesman Sgt. Dana Pierce, the suspect walked into the Rite Aid store at 1900 Sandy Plains Road around 8:45 p.m. Tuesday, jumped the cashier's counter and pulled a gun on an employee. Pierce said the suspect shouted "oxys" and "Xanax," then took the items from the shelves and left the store, heading down nearby Scufflegrit Road in the direction of Allgood Road. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation has identified the man killed Sunday in an officer-involved shooting on I-75 as 53-year-old Jerome George “Jerry” Cundy of Woodstock. Cundy allegedly robbed a Woodstock convenience store Sunday morning, then led Cobb and Cherokee law enforcement on a chase from a Marathon station on Bells Ferry Road in Woodstock and down I-75, to just south of the North Marietta Parkway. Police stopped the vehicle there, and Cundy aimed his gun at officers, who shot and killed him, the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office said Sunday.
