Walton High School's ceremony at the Kennesaw State University Convocation Center is one of them.
Graduations begin Thursday, and the Cobb County School District wants to make sure that family and friends who can't attend the ceremonies don't miss out. With the exception of McEachern in Powder Springs and Allatoona in Acworth, whose graduations will be held outdoors, most of the ceremonies will be streamed live. The latest inspections by Cobb Public Health include visits to Cazadores Mexican Restaurant and Starbucks.
Each item on an inspection form has a point value ranging from 1 to 9 points, with violations deducting points from a best possible score of 100. A sample inspection form is attached. Higher points are taken for items with higher risk to cause illness, while repeat violations take even more points. Letter grades assigned are A for totals of 100 to 90 points, B for 89 to 80, C for 79 to 70, and U for less than 70.

She has been known to tell the truth. Lance Lamberton and a number of other anti-tax Republicans are given to saying outlandish things in The Marietta Daily Journal. A new splash pad will add to the summertime fun for kids.
The Sewell Park pool is opening for the summer this Saturday, May 25. It is one of two outdoor pools operated by the Cobb County Parks, Recreation, Cultural Affairs Department -- the other is in Powder Springs. Department director Eddie Canon said that a new splash pad has been installed at the Sewell Park pool, located at 2055 Lower Roswell Road. The pool hours are 1-5 p.m., Tuesday-Sunday, and the pool will be open on Memorial Day, Monday, May 27. The admission fees are $3.50 for children ages 2-17, $4.50 for adults and $2.12 for seniors ages 60 and older. Quarterly passes also are available for all age groups and for families. The Cobb County Public Library System's Summer Reading Program starts next week. The East Cobb Library and the Mountain View Regional Library will be the venue for some special events. The library system has scheduled more than 700 programs and activities through July 31 to celebrate reading and to encourage the development of lifelong literacy skills. The following events will be taking place at branches in the East Cobb area: Adults and young adults in grades 6-12 are encouraged to submit book reviews.
