Sedalia Park Elementary School has a long history in the east Marietta area, first opening its doors in 1956. In 1996, Sedalia Park became a charter school, with a uniform dress code, and was named a Georgia School of Excellence. The main facility was expanded in 2006 to accommodate a current total of 40 classrooms.
