A salvage yard is a place to buy used auto parts at a reasonably discounted price. I recently inquired about a rubber door seal which had considerable wear from being exposed to the elements. They wanted to sell me the part for $5 dollars less than what I could purchase it new. When I mentioned the dealer price they rudely remarked “I advise you to buy it. Have a nice day.” Seriously? I strongly recommend you check out eBay, the internet and competitors before visiting this yard.

I went to this salvage yard yesterday to pickup a part for my car. Let me just say, that I was very impressed with this outfit. The gentleman I spoke to on the phone the previous day courteous and helpful and a second gentleman who I ended up dealing with was as well. The yard is owned by two brothers whom I had the pleasure of meeting, and I must say they run a tight ship. The yard is a clean as a whistle, and the office area is very nice as well...looks new. When I was there, I eavesdropped on a customer and her conversation with the third employee in the office. While they did not have the part she needed, I heard the salesman say that he located the part at another salvage yard and gave her the name, address and phone number to the other salvage yard!...Now that's service in my book. I got my strut for my Volvo S70 for 65% less what a new one costs at Autozone and headed home thoroughly impressed!
