Johnson Ferry Traffic Alert for Saturday

The road will be closed between Roswell and Lower Roswell for the EAST COBBER Parade until late morning.

If you use Johnson Ferry Road's busiest section on Saturday mornings, you'll have to plan an alternative this weekend.

Saturday's EAST COBBER Parade will have traffic closed in both directions on Johnson Ferry, between Roswell and Lower Roswell roads, from 9:45 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

The 18th annual parade begins at 10 a.m. and steps off from Mt. Bethel Elementary School, 1201 Johnson Ferry Road, continuing to the Fountains of Olde Towne Shopping Center, 736 Johnson Ferry Road, where an afternoon festival takes place.

Cobb Police will also be shutting down Princeton Lakes Drive from 8 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Woodlawn Drive will not be closed but traffic will be affected.

Cobb DOT will be setting up detour routes at the following intersections:

  • Roswell Road at Indian Hills Parkway;
  • Lower Roswell Road at Indian Hills Parkway.

If you want to watch the whole parade pass by, it's recommended that you get down Johnson Ferry by no later than 9:30 a.m.

The festival takes place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Fountains of Olde Towne. Public parking is at the Johnson Ferry Baptist Church, near the ball fields.

More event information will be posted later today on East Cobb Patch.
