Each Monday we'll take a look at what happened on the gridiron over the weekend in East Cobb Patch.

High school football is back and now every team in the area has at least one game under its belt. Here’s a brief look at the football action from the weekend in East Cobb Patch

Pope 31, Wheeler 7 – quarterback Holland Frost threw three touchdowns and racked up 197 yards through the air as he led Pope to a decisive victory Friday night. He also scampered for 89 yards on the ground and rushed for a touchdown. After being down 7-0, the Greyhounds controlled the game, scoring 31 unanswered points.

Whitefield Academy 38, Walker 13 – After being tied at seven at halftime, Walker imploded in the second half because of penalties and turnovers. The Wolverines were outscored 31-6 in the second half and had troubles in nearly every facet of the game.
