Pope, Sprayberry and Lassiter also won Friday night in high school football games.

The Walton football team finally got a home game on Friday, and needed all of that familiar atmosphere -- plus a strong showing from backup quarterback Price Wilson -- to defeat Woodstock 24-7.

The Raiders bounced back from a 49-14 loss to North Cobb despite injuries. Wilson, playing for injured starter Parker McLeod (ankle sprain) was 14-19 passing for 142 yards and a touchdown.

Star running back Tyren Jones also was banged up, with a cast on his left hand to protect a sore wrist. But he still rushed for 129 yards and a touchdown for Walton (3-1, 1-0 in Region 5-AAAAAA).
