Walton Head Football Coach Leaving for Glynn Academy

Rocky Hidalgo has been at Walton for 18 years overall, including the last five as head coach when his Raider teams went 40-18.

Walton High School is looking for just its third head football coach since 1995 as Rocky Hidalgo appears to be leaving the east Cobb school for Glynn Academy.

As Score Atlanta reports, Hidalgo, who went 40-18 in five years as head coach of the Raiders, including a spot in the 2011 state championship game, is expected to be approved by the Glynn County Board of Education on Friday to take over the Brunswick school’s football program.

Hidalgo has been at Walton for 18 years overall. His 2013 team went 6-5 and bowed out in the first round of the playoffs.
