Soccer State Champs from East Cobb

The U-14 "Freedom" recreation team are the 2012 Georgia Soccer State Champions. After being unbeaten during the season and winning the four-game regional finals, they defeated the Dacula Champions by a score of 2-1 in the Championship Game in Fayetteville.

During the 2011-2012 season, the Freedom had a combined record of 24-0-1, were unbeaten in 25 straight games and un-scored on for 24 straight until the Final.

The Freedom is coached by Bill Bruton and Bob Burke. Team manager is Lauri Bruton. The players are Amanda Asprino, Emily Bell, Shelby Bruton, Isabella Burke, Kayla Dawson, Sarah Delgado, Rihab El Fakih(goalkeeper), Kaley Foust, Zoey Hartman, Amanda Howard, Madison Johnson, Kennedy Casey, Erin Lollar, Isabella Luna, Anna Nguyen, Shannon Peterson and Sarah Jane Wardlaw. Winnie Litchfield was unavailable for the Tournament but is a Freedom member.
