Pope, Walton Win; Wheeler Loses

The Greyhounds and Raiders have one more game today in their holiday tournaments, but the Wildcats are done in North Carolina.

, Wheeler had four players in double figures: Elijah Staley with 19, Kejuan Johnson with 14, Austin Smoak with 12 and Chuck Mitchell with 10.

We don’t have any information on Pope’s semifinal win at the Campbell tournament, but the Greyhounds will play for the title tonight at 8:30 against Forest Park, which beat the host Spartans, 61-57, in Thursday’s semifinals.

The Walton Raiders are scheduled to play for fifth place in the Gulfshore Shootout against Buchholz of Gainesville, FL, at 2:15 p.m. today.

The Raiders earned that spot with Thursday’s win over Naples.

Sean Morgan led the Raiders with 28 points, and Rico Overall and John Warrick added 11 points each, the Naples Daily News reported.
