Lassiter Freshman Invited to USA Football Program

Clark Kent will be participating in other high school developmental all-star games in January.

Clark Kent, a freshman wide receiver for the Lassiter High School football program, has been invited to the U.S. National Team program of USA Football

He will be part of USA Football teams that will compete against the Canadian national teams on Feb. 7-8 in Arlington, Texas.

Kent has been invited to participate next month in the Offense-Defense All-American Bowl in Orlando in January, as well as the National Underclassman East-West Bowl and the U.S. Army All-American Bowl

Kent spent time with both the freshman and varsity football teams at Lassiter in 2013.

He broke Lassiter freshman school records with 27 receptions for 538 yards and eight touchdowns, and the rivals.com recruiting site already has a listing for him as a prospect to watch in coming years.

And the "Superman" references also are being made, as this video compilation from his first year as Lassiter attests.

According to his father, Mike Kent: "Many young men have to try out for all these venues, but we are lucky to have a humble young man that will finish this semester with a perfect 4.0 GPA. Lord knows, we are certainly lucky parents."
