Friday Preview: Walton, Pope Host Playoff Games

Both the Raiders and the Greyhounds start the 2011 postseason with home matchups.

Milton (4-6) at Walton (10-0) – One of the benefits of having a perfect season and being matched up with Region 6-AAAAA this year for is facing Milton, the only team in the 5A playoffs with a losing record. The raiders’ first-round opponent is a familiar one. Walton beat Milton on Sept. 2, 42-16.

The game also can be seen online at GPB.org starting at 7:30 p.m. 

Mays (8-2) at Pope (9-1) – is rolling into the playoffs, winners of its last five games while averaging just under 35 points per game. The Greyhounds won Region 5-AAAA and host the No. 4 seed from Region 6-AAAA tonight. Mays has never won a playoff game on the road.
