Wheeler Looks for Back-to-Back Wins
Our Friday Football Preview looks at home games for the Wildcats and Walton, and Walker's game on the road.
Centennial (1-2) at Wheeler (1-2) – The Wildcats won their first game in 364 days last week and now look to begin a streak with a win tonight over Centennial, which lost 48-0 last week. The last time won back-to-back games was in 2007 when it strung three wins together over Lithonia, Chattahoochee, and Alpharetta.
Roswell (0-3) at Walton (3-0) – The Raiders are on the brink of being ranked in the Top 10 in the state. And while a victory over a winless Roswell team might not garner a lot of consideration for moving up, a good thumping will certainly help and also get ready for Region 5-AAAAA play which starts next week at Etowah.
Walker (1-2) at Gordon Lee (1-1) – Walker got into the win column last week with its win over Pace Academy and now starts Region 6-A play on the road at Gordon Lee, who was blanked last week by Dade County. The Wolverines would like a win, and not to be greedy, would like it not to have to come on the final play of the game like last week.
