The 26th annual Sope Creeek Fun Run includes a 5K race that begins at 9 a.m. and a 1-mile fun run that gets underway at 10 a.m. Same-day registration begins at 8 a.m.
The scenic 5K race course begins at Sope Creek Elementary School and winds through the Sibley Forest and Old Paper Mill subdivisions. The 1-mile run will take place around the school grounds.
The event is a fundraiser for the Sope Creek Elementary School Foundation that last year raised $35,000 from 800 runners to pay for a playground renovation, teacher grants and other improvements.
