Polar Bear 5K/2K Cub Run

The 23rd annual Polar Bear Run is a unique road race featuring a flat course in East Cobb County and an electronic "DAG" disposable chip timing system! The race will be held rain, snow or shine — Don't miss it!

5K Race: 8:30am
2K Fun Run: 8:00am
Cub Run (ages 4-5) 9:15am
Cub Dash (ages 2-3) 9:15am

Registration IS limited to 2,000 and there is NO race day registration. No exceptions. This will be one of the most enjoyable January, cold-weather runs you will ever participate in! Not only do we offer you a fast, flat course but the fun and food and great looking t-shirt (long-sleeved, high quality with our running Polar Bear) make this a must run! Only the running is outdoors; the rest of the time you stay in the warm surroundings of the Johnson Ferry Baptist Church Family Life Center. The schedule of events: 2K - 8:00am, 5K - 8:30am, Cub Run (1 lap of track in Family Life Center - for ages 4 & 5) - 9:15a.m., Cub Dash (50 yards dash for ages 2 & 3). Again in '11! We'll be using the chip timing for the 5K and 2K results...no finish cards and tear off tags....no long lines at the finish - you get to the food and fluids sooner! We'll have those great long-sleeved, moisture-wicking, technical shirts again also! Online registration ends January 19th at 9 pm. (Eastern Standard Time) or 2000 entrants, whichever comes first.
