Knitting & Needlepoint: Learn a Fun New Skill!

BEGINNER/ADVANCED BEGINNER KNITTING WITH BETTY
Betty will teach you to knit, purl, bind-off and get you started on your first
project.
$60 for 4-wk session: Saturday, Aug. 4, 11, 18, 25; 10:30 am - 12:30 pm

CLUTCH CLASS WITH KATHY
These great felted clutches are fast and so practical. Kathy has made each one different, one a
little dressy with bling; a shoulder bag; and a clutch. They are all so different yet created from
one pattern and just changing the materials and hardware. We have all the materials you will
need to make one! Since this is a fast project, you will meet just twice.
$30 for a 2-week session: Thursday October 11, 25; 1:30 pm - 3:30 pm

FELTED PURSE WITH KATHY
Let Kathy help you get comfortable with felting. Bring any felted purse project that you would
like to knit and learn how to complete, felt, shape and embellish for a purse you can be proud of.
For best results, please use Cascade 220 or Shepherd’s Wool. Come in and let Kathy help you

NEW CLASS! TOE UP SOCKS WITH FAMOUS STEVE
Socks are the perfect portable summer project. In this class Famous Steve will teach us how
to knit a sock from the toe up instead of the traditional cuff down method. In our first class we
will learn the Magic Loop method for knitting in the round, and a new "magic " cast on that creates
a perfectly seamless toe. In our second class you will learn how to turn a heel, and in
class number three we will discuss decorative stitches, knitting two socks at the same time,
and binding off techniques.
Must be able to comfortably knit, purl, increase, and decrease.
Supplies needed: 1 skein of worsted weight wool, preferably superwash, a US size 7 circular
needle-at least 32 inches in length, stitch markers, darning/tapestry needle.
$45 for a 3-wk session: Saturday August 11, 18, 25; 1:30 pm - 3:30 pm

NEEDLEPOINT NIGHTS WITH MARCI AND SHERYL
Spend your Wednesday Nights with us stitching on your favorite canvas. For beginners, you are
welcome to learn the basics as well as embellishment stitches; and for intermediates, there's
always something new to learn!
$15 per class. Wednesday Nights, 6 pm - 8 pm
pick out your project and supplies. You should have a completed purse by the end of the class.
$60 for a 4-wk session: Sunday October 7, 14, 21, 28; 1:30 pm - 3:30 pm

DOUBLE KNITTING WORKSHOP WITH MARY - CONTINUED
If you took Mary's June workshop (or if you have experience with double knitting) you know
how to read the charts and work the paired stitches. This workshop is about the finer points of
a single color cast-on, edge and bind-off...details that will make your double knitting project
shine.
Please note supplies are not included; you'll need to bring 10-15 yards of two colors of contrasting
yarn and needles to match.
Prerequisites - Mary's June Workshop or similar experience.
