Jack Hardin started the early game on the mound for East Marietta and finished it at the plate with a 3-run home run in the bottom of the fourth inning to put his team into the championship game of the 12-year-old District 2 Little League Tournament.

The second game of the afternoon on Field 3 pitted Murphey Candler Blue against Smyrna. The Murphey Candler team jumped out to an early 1-run lead and never looked back, beating Smyrna 7-1.
