East Cobb Gymnasts Compete at State Championships

Thanks to Kerri Grant for the photos and information about the East Cobb-based Atlanta North Stars Gymnastics Level 3 team, which took first place on the weekend of Nov. 16 in the Georgia State Gymnastics Championships. 

A total of 260 gymnasts qualified from across the state, representing 24 different gyms in USAG Level 3.

Atlanta North Stars also had the following individual high finishers:

• 1st Place All Around: Madeleine Grant, Whitney DeFoor, Aryn Bailey, and Virginia Miller;
• 2nd Place All Around: Emilie Malone, Olivia O'Connor, Madison Jones, and Haden Drake;
• 1st Place Vault: Aryn Bailey and Kailey Timson;
• 2nd Place Vault: Olivia O'Connor and Madison Jones;
• 3rd Place Vault: Emilie Malone, Madeleine Grant and Whitney DeFoor;
• 1st Place Bars: Emilie Malone and Whitney DeFoor;
• 2nd Place Bars: Aryn Bailey, Virginia Miller, Madison Jones and Savannah Madsen;
• 3rd Place Bars: Kelsey Miskel and Mia Passarella;
• 1st Place Beam: Emilie Malone, Whitney DeFoor, Olivia O'Connor, Aryn Bailey, Virginia Miller; 2nd Place Beam: Madeleine Grant and Haden Drake3rd Place Beam: Eddyne Benoit;
• 1st Place Floor: Madeleine Grant, Whitney DeFoor, Aryn Bailey, Virgina Miller;
