15U National Championships Begin Saturday

Teams from around the country will begin competition at the East Cobb Baseball Complex and 16 area high schools in this week-long baseball tournament.

The Perfect Game World Wood Bat Association 15U National Championships begin Saturday. The tournament is based at the , but will also flow over to be played at 16 area high schools, including , and .

The tournament field will consist of 139 teams from 20 states and Puerto Rico and will feature players who will graduate in 2014.

In the nine year history of the tournament 233 players who have participated have been taken in the Major League Baseball Draft, and three – Eric Hosner, Hank Conger and Jason Heyward --have logged major league time.
