Wheeler Magnet Student Earns ‘Perfect Score’ of 36 on ACT

Among ACT-tested US high school graduates in the class of 2013, only 1,162 out of more than 1.79 million students earned a composite score of 36.

Kevin Sholl, a junior at The Center for Advanced Studies at Wheeler High School, scored a perfect 36 composite score on the ACT.

Among ACT-tested US high school graduates in the class of 2013, only 1,162 out of more than 1.79 million students (less than one percent!) earned a composite score of 36.

For the Class of 2013, the average ACT composite score for Cobb County students was 22.1, the Georgia average was 20.7 and the national average was 20.9.

2014 marks the second consecutive year in which an eleventh grader at the Wheeler magnet program has attained a composite score of 36. The Center for Advanced Studies has a history of excellent ACT and SAT scores which led to the creation of Club 36 and the 800 Club to celebrate students’ success.

Starting with the Class of 2009, 57 Magnet students have scored a 36 on one or more sections of the ACT; 123 students have scored an 800 on one or more sections of the SAT , beginning with the Class of 2004.
