Wheeler Falls in 2nd Round Playoffs

Parkview bests the Wildcats 2-1 in Class 5A boys soccer playoff action.

Despite a valiant fight, the were defeated in the second round of the Class AAAAA boys soccer playoffs by the Parkview Panthers, 2-1, Wednesday.

The Wildcats struck first with a goal from Kevin Osorio with nine minutes remaining in the first half.  However, the Panthers quickly countered with a goal by Raymond Muro with 2:20 left in the first half.

Coming out of halftime, the Panthers were focused and quickly scored their second goal within the first minute and a half.  After the Wildcats received two yellow cards and after several shot attempts, inlcuding one that left Parkview's goalkeeper Jack Falle on the turf for several tense moments, the Panthers were able to hold their lead until time expired.
