Walton Band Garage Sale Seeks Donations

A wide range of items are needed for the March fundraiser; dropoff dates are scheduled in February.

The Walton Band Garage Sale isn't until next month, but organizers of the fundraiser have been asking citizens to donate a wide range of items for sale now. 

The group is looking for donations of gently used household items, sporting goods, clothes, certain electronics, furniture, books/DVDs, toys, etc.

The organizers are asking that no TVs, textbooks, swimwear, undergarments, magazines, videos or cassettes should be donated. Donations may be tax deductible.

Two dropoff dates for goods are scheduled this month: On Feb. 11 and Feb. 18, both from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the , 1501 Johnson Ferry Road. 

Citizens may also donate items on March 3 and 10 at the same location and time as the February dates.

Two gymnasiums full of furniture, toys, electronics, garden tools, household items and clothes will be sold at the garage sale, which is slated for March 17 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at .

All proceeds benefit the Walton Band program.
