Tritt Names Teacher of the Year

Kim Lamphere has been teaching at the East Cobb elementary school for eight years.

Kim Lamphere has been named Tritt Elementary School's 2012-13 Teacher of The Year.

She has been teaching at Tritt for eight years and in Cobb County for 15 years as a 3rd and 4th grade teacher. She also taught in Texas and Florida for a combined teaching career of 21 years, a career she chose as a small child watching her mother teach 1st grade. 

She has been married for 27 years to Scott and has two daughters, Lindsay (a counselor in Nashville) and Madison (a junior at the University of Georgia).

In her spare time, she loves to read, walk, cheer for the Georgia Bulldogs, shop for antiques and spend time in Blue Ridge.

Outside of school, she is involved in the Women's Ministry, Delta Kappa Gamma, and Relay For Life.
