Sope Creek Named STEM Education Finalist

The Wheeler Circuitrunners Robotics club also was cited by the Technology Association of Georgia.

East Cobb's Sope Creek Elementary School has been named a finalist for the STEM Education Awards by the Technology Association of Georgia. 

The school's foundation made the announcement last week on its Facebook page. TAG is a leading technology industry association in the state. 

The 2nd annual STEM Education Awards are given to schools, organizations and businesses that contribute to STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) programs in K-12 and higher education in Georgia. 

Wheeler High School's Circuitrunners Robotics Club is a finalist in the extracurricular program category. 

The STEM Education awards will take place on Saturday in Savannah.
