Post Promoted to Gwinnett Tech VP of Student Affairs

The technical college has plans to build a North Fulton campus in Alpharetta.


Julie L. Post is Gwinnett Technical College’s new vice president of student affairs. Post, who joined Gwinnett Tech in 2004, previously served as executive director of institutional research and effectiveness for the college.

Announcing Post’s new role at the college, President Sharon Bartels, said, “Julie is committed to advancing our level of service to our students and to contributing to their success while they are at Gwinnett Tech and as they move into the workforce. She’s brings outstanding experience, knowledge and energy to this vital role.”

Gwinnett Tech has picked an Alpharetta property off Old MiltonParkway for its future North Fulton campus.

Post has been in administration at Gwinnett Tech since 2005, focusing on institutional effectiveness since 2007. In that realm, she also managed the college’s initiatives for Special Populations, Disability Services and Veteran’s Affairs. She also created and launched the college’s Customer Care Center and oversees its operations. 

Post serves as Gwinnett Tech’s COC Accreditation Liaison and is the immediate past president of the Technical College System of Georgia’s (TCSG) Institutional Effectiveness peer group.

She is also a graduate of the TCSG’s Leadership Academy.

A graduate of Northern Kentucky University, Post earned a master’s degree in the art of teaching from Marygrove College and will complete the doctoral program in workforce education at the University of Georgia this spring.
