Pope Tennis, Walton Academic Teams Honored
The Cobb County Board of Education recognizes the state champs at its monthly meeting.
The Cobb County Board of Education recognized two state-championship teams from East Cobb at its regular monthly meeting Thursday night. The boys tennis team went undefeated on the way to the AAAA Georgia High School Association title this spring. The academic team won the state academic team championship in addition to capturing its 13th High-Q title in the quarter-century that quiz-bowl show has aired on WSB-TV.
