Pope Chamber Players Spread Holiday Cheer

The group's December performances included the Christmas tree lighting ceremony at the Governor's Mansion.

Every month the Pope High School Chamber Music Society (CMS) holds performances at Sunrise Assisted Living. In December they held a holiday concert consisting of a string trio and voice ensemble. They also performed at the Governor's Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony and in the Winter Wonderland series at the Fernbank Museum of Natural History.

Established in 2010 by Claudia Cheung and Krystal Lo, CMS offers students the opportunity to experience a chamber ensemble setting and perform throughout the community. Over the past two years, CMS has performed at venues such as Scottish Rite Children’s Hospital, Fernbank Museum of Natural History, Sunrise and Savannah Court Assisted Living, and the East Cobb Kiwanis Governor’s Rally.

In addition to performances, CMS coaches regularly with the Hightower Trail Middle School orchestra. For photos and more information, you can visit the Facebook group https://www.facebook.com/groups/phschambermusicsociety/.
