Nine Lassiter Student-Athletes Ink Scholarships

More student-athletes from the Cobb school expected to sign with colleges and universities this spring.

Nine Lassiter High School senior student-athletes signed national letters of intent on Wednesday with premier universities including the University of Arkansas, University of Alabama Birmingham and Troy University.

The day’s signees committed to playing football at their future schools as well as softball, volleyball and swimming.

This year’s 5-AAAAAA region football champions have four students going to top schools including Chris Murphy to the University of Arkansas, Quincy Perdue to the University of Alabama Birmingham, Clay Roelle to the University of Charleston and Benedict Louis to Austin Peay State University.

The 2013 5-AAAAAA region champions and state second runner-up AAAAAA softball team is proudly sending Carli Kayler to Troy University, Murphy Davis to Young Harris College and Elise Sandberg to Ball State University.

Jessica Cheij will be playing volleyball next year at Piedmont College and Nicole Prendes will be swimming for Davidson College. These students have a combined 3.6 GPA proving their commitment not only to their sports but also their academics

Lassiter looks forward to signing more students during the final signing day for May 2014 graduates this April.
